Advocacy with Patrick

Educational Advocacy Services

 Meet Patrick

I bring a rare dual lens as a former Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher and school social worker. With years of experience in both roles, I understand the inner workings of school systems as well as the emotional and behavioral needs of students and their families. This unique perspective allows me to bridge communication gaps and support families in advocating for the services and support their children deserve.

🧩 Advocacy Services Offered

Whether you’re just beginning the process or your child already has a plan in place, I can help with:

  • IEP & 504 Plan Guidance
Navigating eligibility, evaluations, and developing strong, goal-oriented plans.

  • School Meeting Support
Attendance at IEP, 504, or behavior intervention meetings to support your voice and advocate for appropriate services.

  • Educational Rights Coaching
Empowering parents with knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FAPE so you can advocate with confidence.

  • Plan Review & Recommendations
Reviewing existing IEP/504 plans and identifying areas for improvement or missing supports.

  • Behavioral & Emotional Insight
Collaborating with schools to address mental health needs impacting behavior, focus, or attendance.

  • Student-Centered Care
Working directly with students to support self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and school engagement.

🧠 Who Can Benefit?

  • Students struggling with ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, Learning Disabilities, or Mood Disorders

  • Parents feeling unheard or overwhelmed by the IEP/504 process

  • Teens needing help understanding and owning their academic supports

  • Families navigating transitions (grade levels, new schools, or returning after hospitalization)

🤝 Why It Matters

Too often, children fall through the cracks—not because they lack potential, but because systems are hard to navigate. Our advocacy services are rooted in the belief that every child deserves to be seen, heard, and fully supported at school.

I am here to ensure that happens.
